COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Civil UAVs Initiative (CUI) is a strategic initiative of the Xunta de Galicia aimed at improving the provision of public services through the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, which has so far mobilized 164 million euros through public and private collaboration.

This initiative has allowed the development of a new high technology sector in Galicia through an innovation and industrial policy focused on the aerospace sector.

Since 2015, the Civil UAVs Initiative has facilitated the creation of an ecosystem able to develop technologies around unmanned systems, strongly based on knowledge. More than 50 entities (companies and knowledge centers) have developed 59 R&D projects in collaboration with three leading companies: Indra Sistemas, S.A., Boeing Research & Technology Europe S.L.U. and Babcock Mission Critical Services Fleet Management, S.A.U., deliver assets results that are already positioned in the international market.
